L’insegnante

“L’insegnante è la prima lettera; lo studente è l’ultima lettera; la conoscenza è il luogo di incontro; l’istruzione è il legame.” (Taittiriya Upanishad)

L’allievo e l’insegnante stanno camminando tutti e due nella stessa direzione, non sono l’uno di fronte all’altro. Il cuore del loro rapporto è rappresentato dal progredire insieme.

L’insegnamento non è solo una trasmissione di conoscenze o di sapere, ma ancor prima la creazione di una relazione.

Quindi il “miglior” insegnante è l’allievo migliore, perchè solo rimanendo in ascolto può lasciarsi “in – segnare” dall’allievo. La dimensione dell’ascolto è infatti il luogo della loro relazione.

The student and the teacher are both walking in the same direction, they are not facing each other. The heart of their relationship is represented by progressing together.

Teaching is not just a transmission of knowledge, but even before the creation of a relationship.

So the “best” teacher is the best student, because only by listening can he let himself be “in-marked” by the student. The dimension of listening is in fact the place of their relationship.
